Starting Island question - Guild Wars Forums

I've never played Guild Wars so don't judge me if this sounds like and idiotic question. Ok so say I only have Nightfall, and I choose my profesion as Warrior or 1 of the original profesions do I start off on the Prophicies island or do I start off on the Nightfall island??

You start on whatever campaign you selected when you created the character. So in this case you would start in NF.

You will start on Istan Island, part of the Continent of Elona in the campaign known as Nightfall. You will not be able to visit Prophecies or Factions until you purchase them and add them to the same account that Nightfall is on.
